Recap: ECHO Workshop #10 - Finding Census Data

On November 2nd, AAHI, in partnership with the African American Health Program and the Latino Health Initiative, hosted our tenth Empowering Community Health Organizations (ECHO) Workshop! This workshop focused on the topic of "Finding Census Data." Our ECHO Project provides practical and professional training workshops designed to build the capacity and sustainability of community organizations.

The workshop was the second in our three-part series on health data. It was led by a Data Dissemination Specialist at the United States Census Bureau. She provided an overview of how to find national, state, and local data using Census tools. Attendees participated in an interactive demonstration on how to navigate American FactFinder.

Over 35 attendees, representing about 20 organizations, came to our workshop. Thank you to our awesome speaker, Steering Committee, Health Promoters, volunteers, and staff for making this a successful night! We hope to see you at the final part of this health data series in spring 2016.
