February is Heart Health Month!

Did you know that heart disease is number one leading cause of death in the U.S. and the second leading cause of death among Asian Americans? Certain health conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, and family history can put you at greater risk for developing heart disease. Other risk factors associated with heart disease include lifestyle choices such as physical inactivity and cigarette smoking. The good news: heart disease is both controllable and preventable. To learn more about heart disease and how to reduce your risk today, please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website.

Be sure to spread the word to your friends and family!
