AAHI had a busy weekend but we were blessed to build a healthier
community! AAHI attended 4 health fairs and provided health education and materials
on cancer, hepatitis B, diabetes, tobacco cessation, osteoporosis, patient-provider communication, Lyme disease, Affordable Care Act (Obama Care) and community resources.
On Friday, September 27th, AAHI attended the DB
Consulting Group Health and Wellness Fair in Silver Spring .
On Saturday, September 28th, AAHI attended 3 health
fairs.
The first one was the Germantown Baptist Church Health Fair in
Germantown.
The second one was the Chinese American Senior Services Association
(CASSA) health fair at the MobileMed Clinic in Germantown.
The last one was the Indian American Medical Association (IAMA) of
Washington DC and the Guru Gobind Singh Foundation (GGSF) Health Fair.
Even though AAHI had a busy weekend, we were glad we could help
our community become healthier. We also appreciate all of our Health Promoters,
health fair staff, partners and participants who came out on such a beautiful weekend.
