Heart Disease Lecture at Bethany Presbyterian Church
On Thursday, April 25, AAHI gave a health lecture at Bethany
Presbyterian Church to educate Korean seniors about heart disease and the
importance of maintaining a healthy heart. Health Promoters conducted the
presentation in Korean, which included a general overview of heart disease, risk
factors, prevention, and information on local screening services available to
eligible County residents. A representative from our Patient Navigator Program
(PNP) also joined us in sharing information on local resources to the
community.
Participants were very happy to learn about AAHI
services and appreciated our work in providing health education and information
on local resources in their language.

Global Mission Church Annual
Bazaar
This past Saturday on April 27, AAHI attended a health
fair as a part of the Annual Bazaar at Global Mission Church in Silver Spring.
Health Promoters provided health education on a variety of health topics as well
as the bone density screening, a very popular service among the community
members. We were also joined by our community partners, including the U.S. Public Health
Service and the Montgomery
County Women’s Cancer Control Program, in serving the community at the
event.
