Welcome to AAHI, Udara!


We are happy to introduce Udara Perera as the newest member of the AAHI team! Udara is the Senior Program Coordinator, who will be responsible for the overall coordination of the Health Promoters Program and outreach activities in diverse communities as well as planning, coordinating, and evaluating health events. Her passion lies in maternal and child health, along with providing disease prevention education and reducing health disparities.

Udara received a Master of Public Health in Global and Community Health from George Mason University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies: Public and Community Health as well as a minor in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. As a lifelong Montgomery County resident, Udara is excited to make a difference in improving the health of Asian Americans in the County.

Fun fact: Udara has donated over 40 inches of hair throughout her lifetime to benefit cancer patients!
