The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services’ (MCDHHS) Office of Community Affairs and Aging and Disability Services would like to invite you to join us for a free training workshop as part of the Empowering Community Health Organizations (ECHO) Project 2016.

This FREE workshop entitled “Aging in Montgomery County: Creating an Inclusive Community for a Lifetime” is the first in a three-part series focusing on the health and social needs of seniors and their families. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Silver Spring Civic Building, Great Hall at One Veterans Place, Silver Spring, MD 20910.

The workshop will be led by Dr. John Kenney, Chief of Aging and Disability Services, MCDHHS, who will provide an overview of the current and emerging senior population of the County and discuss the social, physical, and fiscal impact which aging has on communities. Being well-informed of the physical, mental, and social needs of seniors can help communities better prepare for the challenges and opportunities ahead. Information on resources available in Montgomery County will also be presented.
