On March 16th, the
Viet Nam Medical Assistance Program (VNMAP), in partnership with AAHI, held their Results and Vaccination #1 Day, the second event of their Screening, Management, Awareness, and Solutions for Hepatitis B (SMASH-B) Program. Participants who attended the Education & Screening Day in January returned to receive their screening results and if needed, had the opportunity to start their free hepatitis B vaccine. There was also a short, educational presentation on the general interpretation of the hepatitis B screening results and follow-up steps for all participants.
In addition, AAHI had an outreach table where we provided information about breast cancer, hepatitis B, osteoporosis, local resources, diabetes, patient-physician communication, and the Affordable Care Act.
