RecAssist applications will be available online and
at the Recreation's Administration
Office beginning June 3, 2013. The RecAssist
Fund is provided by Montgomery County Recreation to make financial
assistance available to County residents who receive public assistance. The RecAssist
Fund subsidizes Recreation program fees so that eligible residents can pay
reduced fees for Recreation programs.
Assistance is offered to residents who currently receive one of the following
public assistance: Temporary Cass Assistance, Food Stamps, Medical Assistance,
Care For Kids, or Supplemental Security Income. Use of the RecAssist Fund is
available on a “first come, first served” basis and the amount of RecAssist
placed on your Recreation account is based on the number of family members your
documentation shows who are currently receiving assistance. Applications will be
processed and the awarded funds can be used beginning on July 1, 2013 for
Recreation programs.
To apply, a completed application and copies of
documentation may be submitted by mail, by fax at (240) 777-6818, or walked-in
to our Administration Office, located at 4010 Randolph Road, Silver Spring. Office hours are Monday - Friday from
8:30am - 4:30pm. The RecAssist application form is available online at
